Building Bridges for Immigrant Families

The Alberta Immigrant Parents Alliance is a community-based organization dedicated to empowering immigrant parents across Alberta. We provide tools, resources, and support to help families successfully navigate the education system and support their children’s academic and social success;

Our Story

The idea for the Alberta Immigrant Parents Alliance started with simple conversations. By talkng with other immigrant parents, we began to notice common struggles – confusion about the school system, challenges in supporting children academically, and feelings of isolation in a new environment.

These conversations touched us deeply. We realized that many parents wanted to do more for their children but didn’t always know where to start.

That’s why we created this Alliance : to bring parents together, share knowledge, support one another, and build a strong, caring community where every family can thrive .
