The Alberta Immigrant Parents Alliance is a community-based organization dedicated to empowering immigrant parents accross Alberta. We bridge the gap between families and the education system through advocacy, education, and community support.
We provide tools, resources, and support to help families successfully navigate the education system and support their children’s academic and social success.

To empower immigrant parents by providing them the knowledge tools , and community support they need to actively participate in their children’s education and integration into the Canadian society .

Equipping immigrant parents to become strategic partners in their children’s academic and socio-professional success, in an Albertan system different from their country of origin.

The Little Explorers of Friendship
Create a space where children from different cultures can meet, play together and develop friendships.

To allow children and pre-teens to share their experiences, challenges and successes in a safe and caring environment.

Encouraging young people to collaborate, help each other, and become positive role models in their community.

Afro Braid & Hairstyle Workshop
Our community came together for a vibrant Afro Braid and Hairstyle workshop for both women and men. It was a meaningful celebration of culture, identity, and intergenerational connection – a space where parents, youth, and skilled stylists shared techniques, stories, and pride in our heritage.
